The ISL Information Centre provides up-to-date information in high quality and completeness. ISL-SEABASE
The literature database ISL-SEABASE represents with more than 98,000 bibliographic records (Oct 2007) an important knowledge source for industry and commerce, research and education. The database increases each year by about 4,000 bibliographic records.
The ISL-SEABASE offers an easy online research access. It contains all records since 1990 and offers a systematic access to current maritime and logistic knowledge. ISL Library
The ISL reference library, which exists since 1954, is one of the biggest
libraries in the area of maritime economics and logistics with a total stock of
about 125,000 books (at Juni 2006), of which are 28,000 monographs and 26,000
annual publications.
The databank ISL-SEABASE and the ISL Library are open to the public as well as for clients from economics and science. Use of the library is free of charge, a copier is available. Services

In addition to the extensive resources of the ISL also external sources of information could be included into the inquiry. The prices of our services are computed after expenditure of time and range of the information made available. For your search order a form is available. |
All new entries of the ISL library are bibliographical recorded and made available as regards content (descriptors, abstracts). Besides reference books also studies of the market, reports of an inquiry, transactions, economy statistics as well as business and annual reports become particularly incorporated. Contributions from about 230 national and international professional journals are evaluated selectively after relevance. The literature evaluation and enquiry is based on the thesaurus developed in the ISL "Seeverkehrswirtschaft und Logistik" (only in German language). Digital documents increasingly are included as a full text under consideration of the copyright.
More than 230 reference books and professional journals are kept regularly. The internet and electronic media have a common place in our library.
