NS FRITS on German Interreg IV B information event in Bremerhaven
On 4th November this year's German information event of the Interreg IVB North Sea program was held in Bremerhaven, hosted by the federal states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein and the relevant federal departments. About 140 participants from economy, science, administration and politics listened and discussed the latest information on the projects and project ideas from the North Sea program.
The event was accompanied by an exhibition of current projects in all thematic priorities. In this context in the priority 3 (Improving accessibility in the North Sea region) also NS FRITS was presented by the Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL), representative of the Senator for Education and Science of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. While the lunch break, participants were able to inform themselves about the content of NS FRITS in general as well as about approaches and activities of the pilot project in Bremerhaven and to discuss different questions with those responsible.
All in all there is a particular interest on the projects of priority 3 of the North Sea program, not least because considerable potentials can be seen there for transnational solutions. Therefore the information event was primarily focused on this core theme, which was reflected both by the agenda, as well as by the structure of the participants, who frequently came from the transport and logistics sector.
