ISSM (Integrated Safety & Security Management) – a master study course at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven with strong support of ISL

The study course „Integrated Safety & Security-Management“ (ISSM) on the practical education in safety and security issues at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven - started in autumn 2009 and – benefits from the strong cooperation with ISL.

The main objective is to educate managers for recognizing threats, preventing damages as well as limiting their negative impacts. Not only through the link to the ISL competence area „Security and Auto-ID in container transport“ at Bremerhaven a good precondition for the knowledge transfer from R&D projects into the education is given. With Prof. Dr. Arendt, Dr. Schütt and Dr. Meyer-Larsen, three persons with management functions at ISL are actively integrated into the ISSM courses.
