The demonstrator is a Java 1.1.4 applet (In order to run it, you will be asked to download the Java Activator Software if you haven't done so. Just follow the instructions on the download pages. This will work under Solaris 2.5/2.6 and Windows (Win95, NT) with Netscape 3.01 or newer or (under Windows 95/NT) MS Internet Explorer 3.02 or newer.), which collects all data needed and puts it into a communication database (SQL). From there, it will be extracted using the Application Interconnectivity Management System (for more details, contact Dr. Christian Böttger, ISL and converted to EDIFACT by OSIS (for more details, contact Dr. Stephan Kirchner, LS GmbH).
This system is installed in commercial operation (as Java application, not as an applet) at PWL GmbH, a liner agent in Bremen.
