Wisdom will contribute to the development of an open service for all parties involved in intermodal transport based on interconnectivity and intelligent data sharing. Openness, a flexible design and low investment costs should enable users to enter the service easily. Users of Wisdom may be connected to the service with their existing systems or may have a terminal in Wisdom for the data exchange functions. Wisdom intends to make use of existing communication networks and EDI-services. In intelligent datasharing the provider of information partitions decides who may access certain elements of the information in the system. Each user will have a particular view on the data that is depending on his role in the supply chain.
