From 09 May to 12 May 2023, transport logistic was once again the centre of the logistics industry. The four-day trade fair is considered the leading platform for international networking in the logistics industry. In addition to innovative products, systems and technologies, the event offers its visitors concentrated expert knowledge.
A total of 2,320 exhibitors from 67 countries and more than 75,000 visitors from over 120 countries came to the International Trade Fair for Logistics, Mobility, IT and Supply Chain Management at the exhibition centre in Munich.
Once again, this year Bremen companies and scientific enterprises presented themselves in close cooperation at the bremenports joint stand. Together with the European project "Innovation-driven Collaborative European Inland Waterways Transport Network", in short: IW-NET, ISL was again part of the event. ISL presented its portfolio and current projects, including ReNEW, SeaEly and SEAMLESS, to an interested audience of experts.
Prof. Dr Burkhard Lemper from ISL management: "After a four-year break, we were particularly pleased about all the exciting talks, the interesting exchange, new industry insights and versatile networking."
The ISL topics also met with great interest among political decision-makers. Prof. Dr. Frank Arendt and Patrick Specht from ISL held informative discussions with influential personalities such as State Councillor Tim Cordßen-Ryglewski from the department of Bremen's Senator for Science and Ports. Prof. Dr. Arendt: "It became clear that ISL is working on many of the key topics discussed in the state of Bremen, such as resilience of maritime transport chains, hydrogen as an energy source of the future, automation of maritime processes, e.g. in inland navigation, and the development of ports into smart ports." These conversations also shed light on the immense benefits and impact that IW-NET can bring to the logistics landscape.
We look back to four eventful days and would like to thank all those involved.
Save the date: The next transport logistic trade fair will take place from 2 - 5 June 2025.
