As part of the IW-NET project, ISL colleagues Patrick Specht, Marija Jović and Dr. Nils Meyer-Larsen as well as Dr. Jan-Niklas Bamler from project partner bremenports have investigated these questions with an online survey conducted throughout Europe.
Based on the survey results, the authors conclude that future digital services for inland waterway transport should put a stronger focus on the integration of port processes as well as on real-time data sharing and coordination.

The results have now been published in the scientific journal "Sustainability".
