Science goes Public! – Talk by Prof. Dr. Nils Meyer-Larsen
Science goes Public! brings science to places where people come together: pubs, bars and other relaxed venues. Researchers present their topics in a way that is easy to understand and invite the audience to join in the discussion and ask questions.
As part of this series of events, Prof. Dr. Nils Meyer-Larsen from the ISL will address the topic of green hydrogen as an energy source of the future. The focus will be on how hydrogen can contribute to the storage and transport of renewable energies and replace fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas.
It also addresses specific developments in the state of Bremen. There are plans to establish a so-called Hydrogen Valley, an EU-funded project that links and systematically integrates regional initiatives for the production, transport and use of hydrogen. Prof. Meyer-Larsen will provide an overview of the current status of the plans and highlight the prospects this offers for Bremerhaven and Bremen.
