ISL contributed to the plenary discussion at the OCEANIDS final event
The final event of the OCEANIDS project took place on 9 June 2026 in Brussels, bringing together project partners, port stakeholders, and experts to discuss innovative approaches to climate resilience in the maritime sector.
During the plenary session “The OCEANIDS Platform: a decision-making tool”, Rainer Müller from ISL participated in a panel discussion on the benefits and practical applications of the OCEANIDS platform for port authorities. Together with fellow panelists, he highlighted how the platform supports decision-making by providing climate-related insights based on advanced Earth Observation (EO) technologies.
Developed within the OCEANIDS project, the platform enables port authorities to better assess climate risks.
“By leveraging Earth Observation services, the OCEANIDS platform provides port authorities with valuable climate change-related information and brings all relevant data and tools together in a single platform,” said Rainer.
The event marked the successful conclusion of the OCEANIDS project and provided an opportunity to showcase the project's key results and their potential impact on the future of climate-resilient port operations.
