Opening of the ResC4EU platform at this year's KOMPOZYT-EXPO®

The Kompozyp Expo 2024, which takes place from 16 to 17 October in Krakow, Poland, is the leading trade fair for composites, technologies and products in Poland and Central Europe. The trade fair offers a platform for manufacturers, suppliers, processors and users of composite materials, where the latest trends and technologies in the industry will be presented.

We are pleased to announce that Debarshee Bhardwaj and Sönke Maatsch from ISL, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology (IGCV), will present their first framework for an exciting resilience assessment model at the 3rd General Assembly during the opening of the ResC4EU platform on the 15th October.

This model is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by strengthening their preparedness for supply chain and transport disruptions. At the heart of the platform is the Resilience Assessment Score, a dynamic tool that evaluates whether a company's resilience is balanced or unbalanced and helps the organisation identify key vulnerabilities and operational risks.

Beyond these core features, the platform offers advanced tools such as multi-level supply chain visibility, which provides access to validated data across multiple supplier tiers. It also provides the ability to calculate Global Warming Potential (GWP), allowing companies to assess the environmental impact of their supply chains.

Thanks to this comprehensive approach, SMEs can make smarter and more informed decisions that increase their resilience while improving sustainability.
