European Container Traffic Model update released

The European Container Traffic Model (ECTM) is now available for the year 2024. Combining data from national and European statistical authorities, ports and terminal data as well as a liner operator survey, it serves as a unique tool for decision making in port industry and policy planning.

More ports, more regions
The number of available ports increased from 20 to 45. Besides the Central European main markets, data on new markets such as Southeast Europe and Great Britain are now available.

All data at a glance
A series of dashboards give detailed insight into regional market shares, modal splits, intermodal terminals and export/import imbalances.

Tracing developments
Time series and year-on-year comparisons show the most striking developments such as the most dynamic regions or the developments behind market share shifts.

Customers can now order data for 2024 or subscribe to our dashboard service.
