ISL at the 2026 Research Mile in Bremen

The Institute for Maritime Economics and Logistics (ISL) and Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences shared a stand at the Research Mile in Bremen, which took place from 19 to 20 September 2026.

As part of the HibeBB project – Heat Protection for Particularly Exposed Occupational Groups in the State of Bremen – information was provided on the effects of heat and UV radiation on the workplace, as well as on options for heat protection in the workplace. Visitors of all ages took this opportunity to find out about specific measures and practical solutions that can support workers in particularly hot workplaces. Many of these measures are also suitable for use at home.

As part of the HibeBB project – Heat Protection for Particularly Vulnerable Occupational Groups in the State of Bremen – information was provided on the effects of heat on the workplace and options for heat protection in the workplace. In addition to technical and organisational measures, the focus was also on personal protective measures. Various types of cooling clothing – including cooling vests, cooling caps and cooling sleeves for arms and legs – were demonstrated on site.
