ISL joins the WAB Network
The ISL has been a member of WAB e.V. since the beginning of the year. By joining, the ISL is strengthening its connections within one of the German wind industry’s key networks and contributing its long-standing expertise to the further development of sustainable energy systems.
The WAB is regarded as the voice of the offshore wind energy sector in Germany and also connects stakeholders from other relevant sectors, such as onshore wind and green hydrogen. As a strong industry network spanning the entire value chain, it promotes dialogue between business, research, and politics and provides important impetus for the energy transition.
With the ISL, the WAB gains an experienced partner at the intersection of research and practice. For over 70 years, our institute has been working on innovative solutions for the maritime economy and brings valuable perspectives to the network, particularly in the areas of logistics, supply chains, and sustainable transformation. A close connection already exists through joint projects such as ORESA, which will now be further deepened.
Membership also offers clear added value for the ISL. Access to a broad-based network opens up new opportunities for collaborations and research projects. At the same time, participation in specialist events and networking meetings enables the institute to address current developments in the fields of wind energy and hydrogen at an early stage and to actively shape them.
This membership underscores the shared interest of ISL and WAB in driving the transformation of the energy and maritime sectors and promoting innovative approaches for a sustainable future.
