The ISL looks back on four days of TRA

The conclusion of TRA 2024 marks the end of an exhilarating week, during which the ISL actively participated once again. In reflection of four dynamic and enlightening days, we extend our gratitude to all those involved for their contributions to the success of this innovative conference.

A special acknowledgment goes to our colleagues who represented the ISL onsite.

Nils Meyer-Larsen, PhD presented the MariSynFuel project, which focuses on the production of green methanol for the Alfred Wegener Institute's research vessel Uthörn. His presentation prompted engaging discussions with peers from other methanol projects in the maritime sector.

Rainer Müller showcased the simulation results of the inland hub within the ReNew project, which aims to enhance resilience against climate change impacts on maritime logistics. His presentation, "Increasing Resilience against Extreme Weather Events," was part of the "Resilience to Climate Change" session.

Marija Jović, PhD contributed valuable insights to the discourse on the ReNew project, shedding light on inland waterway resilience and offering practical transportation suggestions amidst common threats and hazards.

In his capacity as a representative of the SEAMLESS project, Patrick Specht presented insights into the technological aspects of autonomous navigation, handling, and digital integration into future transport chains.
