ISL started cooperation talks with SMU

On November 15, a five-person delegation from Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) visited ISL under the leadership of the university's vice president Ms. HE Li. 

They were received by ISL managing director Prof. Dr. Burkhard Lemper, Dr. Nils Meyer-Larsen and Thorsten Friedrich. In addition to a professional exchange on the topics of maritime data and databases, hydrogen, alternative fuels and decarbonization of shipping, the main focus was on the possibility of future cooperation. On the one hand in corresponding research projects but also through guest lectures and joint seminars.

It was agreed that the cooperation talks would continue in the near future and that a joint seminar in Shanghai next year would be examined.
