Register now! - ISL Maritime Conference & 70th anniversary

We are delighted to invite you to the ISL Maritime Conference and to the celebration of ISL's 70th anniversary on September 18, 2024.

At the conference, you can expect exciting presentations on current research topics under the guiding theme "Logistics in transition: On course for the future". 70 years ago, the original "Institute for Shipping Research" was founded by the Senate of the Hanseatic City of Bremen. We would like to celebrate this milestone together with you after the ISL Maritime Conference!

This year's ISL maritime conference will take place at the Digital Hub Industry (DHI) on the university campus from 12:30 pm. A short opening speech by the ISL management will be followed by three specialist presentations by representatives from the maritime industry and ISL employees. The event will end with a panel discussion with all participants on the key topic "Where is the journey heading?".

After the conference, there will be a short walk, just five minutes away, to ISL Bremen to celebrate the institute's 70th anniversary. The champagne reception will start at 4:30 pm, at which Bremen's senators Kathrin Moosdorf and Kristina Vogt and the Federal Government's Maritime Coordinator Dieter Janecek (on request) will also give welcoming speeches. The Institute's anniversary will be celebrated with delicious finger food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

The ISL is very much looking forward to your participation and invites you to register free of charge for one or both events via our registration tool. Please confirm your attendance by 02.09.2024.
