MobiTrans – Concept for a mobile transfer unit

MobiTrans – Concept for a mobile transfer unit as a pioneer for smart port knowledge transfer

The MobiTrans project is a starter project within the context of the overarching DATIpilot project SPorT – Smartport Transfer. Since no central premises are available for the transfer of future community projects at the start of the overall SPorT project, a mobile transfer unit (living hub) is being designed and specified in MobiTrans, but not yet implemented. The aim is to communicate and utilise existing knowledge and knowledge newly acquired in future community projects on smart port topics in the form of, for example, exhibits, demonstrators, prototypes and simulations, both internally (smart port community) and externally (interested public, universities and schools). In addition to concept development and technical specification, MobiTrans's important tasks include laying the foundations for an operator concept and creating a communication concept. The aim is therefore to implement this as soon as possible in a later community project.

Project objective:

  • Presentation of existing transfer components in the community
  • Transfer show trailer concept: design, technology, equipment, functions and specifications
  • Fundamentals for an operator and communication concept
  • Identification of potential properties/locations for a Smartport transfer centre
