SPorT - Smartport Transfer
Co-operation in the ports of Bremen as an innovation booster on the way to the Smartport (SPorT)
The ports of Bremen face complex challenges and also play a key role in energy supply and the energy transition: Future factors such as digitalisation, decarbonisation and demographic change have a significant impact on their competitiveness. This is precisely where SPorT comes in: with intelligent networking of stakeholders, a simple funding structure and an invitation to work together to put innovations into practice.
SPorT stands for "Smartport Transfer - Co-operation in the ports of Bremen as an innovation booster on the way to becoming a smartport". The project brings together stakeholders from research, business and port practice to jointly develop innovative solutions for the ports of Bremen. The transfer between knowledge from research and practical implementation is intended to create scope for innovative ideas.
A special feature: the members of the SPorT community are responsible for deciding which projects and measures are funded - a real say for all those involved and a strong signal in favour of participatory innovation promotion.
Project objective:
- Establishment and development of an SPorT community to promote the ports of Bremen on their way to becoming a smart port on the basis of the existing smart port community
- Development and testing of innovative digital port processes and technologies beyond the end of the project
- Transfer of research results into practice
- The projects focus on the aspects of human-centredness, resilience and cooperation
